Isn't that a cool dragon picture?

Nikolas A. Hayes,

Kid-in-Residence

Hi, I'm Nik. I am in SEVENTH grade now! I go to North Kitsap Jr High in the North Kitsap School District. Wanna see a map of the district? I used to live in a place called Covington, Washington. NOW, I live in Suquamish, Washington! My sister will goes to Suquamish Elementary. Cool, huh? I'll be updating this page soon because we moved and everything has changed. Thanks for being patient.

I'm really into collecting rocks. Here is a cool rock related website.

Check THIS out, a page that does your fractions for you in math!

Dad helped me set up this cool web page. He's a writer and a Webmaster.
He also works on computers for a living.

Here is my tempura painting Starry Night (by Vincent VanGogh) that was picked to be displayed at Kent School district headquarters.

Dad's name is Gordon. He is a Webmaster for a company called, Regence Technologies Group, NDEX (Network Data Express) a department of The Regence Group, that has something to do with healthcare. You can click on his name to go to his web page. He works on screenplays for a production company too! His Website is at: http://www.journaled.com/ and I'm on it as a "Jr. Member!" His Martial Arts section of the website has won awards, pretty cool.

My sister Hannah, also has a website. On our vacations, we have been Disneyland, Reno, Nevada, and Mexico in March 1999! Now, we are moving! I'll start 7th grade in a new school!
I had my painting picked for display this year at the school district's administration building. Want to see it?

Dad also has a website for Martial Arts that is real interesting and he has worked real hard on it. It is at http://www.journaled.com/MA/. I used to take Okinawan Karate-do at Covington Karate, here in Covington, Washington. I really liked it. I have a blue belt now, but I don't think I'm going to do Karate anymore. I used protective gear for practicing Kumite. My little sister, Hannah, has a blue belt now, too! I was doing soccer for a season, but now we've moved and I don't know what I'll be doing next. I was interested in the Chess club, but I have a new school next year and everything is changing again!

I was studying guitar for a while (my dad was teaching me), but now I study the clarinet!

Oh, another cool Karate webpage is at the Karate CyberDojo.

My Dad wanted me to study Karate because he studied Isshynryu Karate (here's another page), another form of Okinawan Karate, when he was a kid, and as an adult he studied Aikido (Founder: Morihei Ueshiba, known as "O Sensei"), and his book, Art of Peace).

I also like Magic.

My Step-Mom used to train horses for a living, but she retired to spend all her time raising my sister, Hannah and myself. Mom (her name is Carin (from `Carina') -- pronounced like `Karen') has a web page too, (you can click on her name to see her web page).

My Mother (the one that I was born to) is named Kim and lives in Portland, Oregon, and she is married to a nice guy named Ezra. She doesn't have a web page. Maybe someday.

Oh. You can click below to write to me.
My Dad will get the email, but he will give it to me.

Like I said, I have a little sister who's name is Hannah and she is six.
You can click on her name to see her web page. Isn't this web page stuff cool?

I was eleven years old on my birthday: June 3, 1999.

Last Christmas my sister and I got new Pentium class computers! So now we can play cooler games on it now.

We have a dog named Rudy that is part Cocker Spaniel. We used to have two Cockatiel birds, one named 'Lady' and one named 'Groucho' (because he is always so grouchy, and he bites), but we don't have them anymore.

We also have some fish. I named a couple of them when I was three years old. I named one `Indy' for Indiana Jones, and the other one, `BadGuy,' but they are no longer with us either.

I have my own cool bedroom. Mom and Dad made my old one look like the sky for a present for me for Christmas one year. It had clouds and blue sky and my Dad and I hung up model airplanes. It was very cool. Now I have a new bedroom with an outer space theme to it. I like to read and to play with my k'nex. I also like to play basketball, baseball and frisbee.

That's all I have to say for now. Bye...
Nik

My Dad's other website, that he made originally for Mom and sold after running it for about 5 years, is, or was, anyway, called, The Equitation Station. It was a website for Show Horses and Riders. He sold it to someone who is really into magic and has a Museum for Houdini because Mom wasn't doing horses anymore.
